Auditions for two opera workshops in July:
Workshops start July 13 and July 27 and meet every Sunday at 7 p.m. for 5 weeks. Recitals follow on August 17 and August 31. All workshops and recitals include professional piano accompaniment by John Danke.
Workshops gives singers the chance to do the following:
Singers of all ages and levels, polish your material to performance level with professional coaching and accompaniment. Auditions are every Sunday from 6-7 p.m. Five consecutive three-hour sessions take place at 7 p.m. at the ARK. The singers perform a recital on the sixth Sunday. In addition to voice, simultaneous side classes include opera roles training, analysis and study of role, language and pronunciation, and tutoring in language accents.
Qualified singers can reserve a place in the next workshop series with a $125 deposit. When starting a worship series, the balance of $125 is due. The $250 covers all teaching and professional accompaniment.
Awards will be given for the best opera workshop singers of the year in different categories.
